The Terminal 2 Experience
June 10th, 2011
I’ve always loved travelling, especially flying in an airplane. Whether it’s for work, vacation, or just escape, the buzz of leaving one place and going to another is exhilarating. It’s the freedom to go forth anywhere without condition or restriction (up to the legal limit, of course) that gets me.
And when I’m on travel mode, my observation skills kicks in overload. I mean, I tend to notice things people say or do that I usually don’t when I’m on normal mode. I still remember that huge middle aged American tourist wearing grey Crocs, a purple beltbag, and a white Miley Cyrus t-shirt trying to explain to the Chinese handler that his wheelchair bound mom is missing. Of course, an exaggerated scene like that is hard to forget but you know what I mean. Observing while travelling is fun.
I don’t really have a favorite airline when I travel. Well, except when I fly to the Philippines. When I do, I always choose Philippine Airlines. I choose it because PAL has its’ own exclusive airport, Terminal 2 or T2. Since T2 only services one airline, it’s much more spacious and personnel there look more relaxed. When I mean relaxed, I mean less stressed. I don’t mean that they’re not as thorough or intrusive as other airport personnel it’s just that they seem to have an easier time to smile at the passengers compared to the other airport.
Or so, I thought.
