So just like the Druids of the Claw in Warcraft, I’m saying this now. I am frigging awake. Literally.
My body clock is severely ruined. I would stay up to 4AM to 5AM and wake up at 8AM. There was even a time it was 6 or 7. Not the way on how to live. I have been spacing out, getting extra cranky, having eye irritation, and if I do go on, my stomach would be next.
My body is saying it. Time to listen. Friends are even kind enough to say it. I had a lot of different hints from phone to chat and even on email at 7AM from a friend’s dad…. A friend’s dad! Ugh.
“Just remember all that money isn’t worth it if your health is at risk.”
“You’re going to burn up bad. ”
“If you get down and sick, [Boss] will not bring you to the hospital.”
“You cannot do this. You have to have a shift.”
And the best line goes to:
“Babe, have a beer.” In an attempt to catch me off guard. I think.
So yeah. I’m still alive and I’m awake. Time to regain the wheel on my car.
Sincerely,
Sleepless in Singapore
So my Mom was in town last week. It was just perfect as the 20th World Orchid Show was in town AND the Gardens by the Bay of Singapore opened for preview.
Sadly I was too busy but at least we got the basics down – orchids, orchids, orchids. Not major shopping but we got to go around.
So here’s a preview of what actually happened to us:

Moms… They’re totally special. Happy Monday, peeps!
I believe that it is not of common knowledge that I was engaged. Though it definitely tastes like vinegar to talk about, it serves a good lesson or two for me. Thank God I wasn’t thwarted at the altar and there are reasons why things never came to be – am speaking in a light religious way on this as well which is so unlikely of me.
Without regard, I appreciated how people were there for me even though I wasn’t bawling – my family, my old and new friends and my former boss (which I would like to highlight is a guy).
Since I pretty much started off do getting back on the saddle of blogging, let’s talk about the feel good remedy for someone who broke up – recently or badly or both. Call it my nepenthe. A very odd nepenthe. Read the rest of this entry »
I know! I know! I haven’t posted anything decent, consistent and readable. It most especially doesn’t help my Establishing a Routine project. Boo!
Where am I? What have I been doing? And the good question… Why?
Because am enjoying.
New job, new set of friends, new get together with old friends. New new new. It’s like shedding off worn out clothes and a positive outlook. Oh and the occasional nanny duty.

The weather is chilly with some rain, cloudy skies, and breeze from the north. Unlike Padova, Assisi and Venice, it is an opposite of what is expected in an Italian summer or maybe this is me declaring it a tad bit too early with less than 24 hours being in the city.

Call it cruel but am liking it in an odd way. People are quite fashionable here and it seriously makes me wonder how it is going to be in Milan.
Ok here is a rough check list on how it is for the past erm 6 – 8 days doing backpacking.
- My feet are sore.I’ve got souvenirs in the form of bedbug bites.
- Murano glass is the bomb. We saw how it was made. I want to be a glassmaker.
- My subtle eyeliner have not snagged any handsome Italians but a lot of the pigeons!
- We have gotten lost in six counts. Six…. Good grief… Six.
- Someone misses our baby boy.
- Singing “Happy Birthday walay manok” to my Mom didn’t last so long.
- Would have been crazy fun if brother-in-law was with us but he just came in from Barcelona.
- As one of the Bologna locals said, Venizia is unica. Hands down. If you’re planning to go, go on February.
- Padova may look like old town but they have trams that resemble UP Ikot-toki. Too bad walang isawang.
More pics after 2 months.
See you all soon.
Love lots,

PS: Pardon the not so colorful post.
I just borrowed the laptop.
